Hey guys! So this week we had an unseasonably cold summer day (really rare here in Maryland), and my grandma made chili. She asked me to make the cornbread, so of course, I immediately began designing a vegan cornbread. It came out delicious, all buttery and a little sweet. So without further ado, here is my recipe.
-1 cup of non-dairy milk (I prefer soy)
-6 tbsp vegan butter (I use Earth balance)
-1 cup of all purpose flour
-1 1/4 cup cornmeal
-1 tbsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 cup white sugar
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Spoon batter into a greased 8×8 pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Eat with lots of butter.
And there you have it! Delicious vegan cornbread, all ready to go.
Thanks for reading my recipe, and until next time, happy baking 🙂
